Secuoya Studios and John Gertz Producing New Zorro Series

A new Zorro series is in production with LA-based Secuoya Studios, in collaboration with Zorro Productions President/CEO John Gertz, former Sony execs Andy Kaplan and Jesús Torres, and Secuoya Studios’ Sergio Pizzolante. The new series will be directed by Javier Ruiz Caldera (“Superlopez”) with scripts by Spain’s Carlos Portela (“Velvet Collection”). Variety reports that “the new version will update the franchise’s characters with reference to modern times and include a ‘large female presence.'”
