New Zorro Musical
to Premiere
at The Garrick Theater, London
Isabel Allende
and Zorro London LTD proudly
announce the opening of a new Zorro musical on London's West End at The
Garrick Theater. Previews begin on June 30th, 2008 with press night on
July 15th, 2008.
A talented team has been
assembled to develop the Zorro show, which features original music by
the Gipsy Kings.
The internationally acclaimed group has created exciting new music
and rhythms for the show.
Acclaimed
international author Isabel
Allende (Zorro, House of the
Spirits, Daughter of Fortune, Portraits in Sepia, and more) has
joined the creative team as a producer.
Chris Renshaw has taken the reins
as director. His show, Taboo,
written with Boy George, was a
phenomenal success in London. The Queen musical, We Will Rock You,
directed by Renshaw, broke box office records.
The book and lyrics are
written by Stephen
Clark, who has extensive credits and awards for Stripped, Takeaway and
Making
Waves. He won an Olivier Award for Martin Guerre and wrote the book
and lyrics for the Far Pavilions.
Co-Composer John Cameron has endeared the world to
his music with his soaring, emotional work on Les Miserables.

described him as "a national treasure."
Set and Costume
Design - Tom
Piper -Associate
Designer for the Royal Shakespeare Company, Tom was recently nominated
for the Best Design
Award in the TMA Theatre Awards
2005 for his work on Insignificance at
the Sheffield Lyceum.
