present a spectacular new

musical with an original score by The Gipsy Kings.
The show completed a successful six week tour around the UK on
April 12th, 2008 prior to the
West End opening.

Zorro in Hell
The dynamic trio, Culture Clash, took on Zorro as a cultural icon in
their play which premiered in May 2006. The show garnered rave
reviews
for its rapier like wit and played to standing ovations. From
Berkeley
Repetory Theater, Zorro in Hell moved to the La Jolla Playhouse, then
on to a commercial run in Los Angeles, Summer 2007.

University of
Colorado, Colorado
Springs, CO. - Original play commissioned for the
annual collaboration with Colorado Springs librarys' All Pikes Peak Reads
of Isabel Allende's Zorro, a Novel.
From Latino playwright Bernardo Solano, a
modern day tale of a teacher who becomes the legendary hero.
Premiered October 2007.
Smuin Ballet
San Francisco, CA - Michael
Smuin, director of San Francisco's innovative Smuin Ballet Co.,
premiered a new ballet for the 2003 season based on a dynamic, original
story
which integrates the dashing character into a romantic, contemporary
tale. Smuin choreographed the libretto based on a new work by Matthew
Robbins. Charles Fox created the score for the new ballet, which
premiered May 2nd. Restaged for the 2006 season.
El Zorro, El
Espectáculo!
Madrid, Spain - Luis Álvarez presents
a new Zorro extravaganza. Premiered in October 2002.
Lady Zorro
Tokoyo and Osaka,
Japan - Zorro Productions teamed with Shochiku to present an
original,
bold, nusical action drama based on the legendary character.
Premiered in February and April, 2003.
ZORRO
Wellington, New
Zealand. Rodney Stong
and the Wellington Repertory Theatre presented a limited
run of an original Zorro play. Premiered in February 2002.
Ensemble Theater of Cincinnati
Cincinnati, Ohio
- Written and choreographed by David
Richmond and Drew Frazier, incorporating a unique use of shadow puppets
to simulate horse and rider chase scenes. The show has been produced in
numerous other locations. Premiered in May 1993.
Ken Hill's Zorro,
the Musical
London, England
- Produced at The Theatre Royal Stratford East in
association with Jonathan Reinis & Zorro Productions, Inc. The
show, written and directed by Ken Hill, featured a "breezy, high camp"
interpretation of the character. Premiered in February 1995.
El Zorro
Buenos Aires,
Argentina - Produced by Producciones Teatrales, Alejandro
Romay, at Teatro Broadway. The classic character appeared in this
romantic cape and sword extravaganza in June 2000. Revived by Diego
Kaplan's Focusmedia at the Teatro Astral. Premiered in June 2003.
Zorro, El Musical
Mexico City, Mexico,
at Teatro Aldama. The show was written and scored
by Alvaro Cervino and heralded for its "magnificent musical numbers."
Premiered in July 1996.
