Book and Lyrics

Stephen Clark has been honored with a Jefferson Award for his play Stripped as the best new play in Chicago 2003 (Circle Theatre). Other notable plays include Takeaway, which was singled out as a Critics' choice in the Guardian, Independent and Time Out and toured nationally, and Making Waves on stage at the Stephen Joseph Theatre, Scarborough.

Clark won an Olivier award in 1997 for his lyrics in the Cameron Mackintosh version of Martin Guerre, which then toured Britain and North America. He is currently writing the book and lyrics for The Far Pavilions which opens April 2005 in the West End. A music theatre adaptation of The Mahabharata with Nitin Sawhney is also in the works for Stephen along with his Zorro project.
